The SBI Clerk 2024 Mains examination was held on the 25th of February and 04th of March 2024. Earlier, the announcement was the final result will be out till the last week of March 2024.

What To Know About SBI Clerk Recruitment 2024?

The SBI conducts the recruitment process for various posts of SBI Clerk. The examination is held in two stages— preliminary and the mains. The prelims exam-qualified candidates are further eligible to sit in the Mains exam. After clearing that, the next step is to clear the local language test.

Tie Breaking Policy in SBI Clerk

The SBI follows a tie-breaking policy through which they choose among two similar scoring candidates. When two or more candidates score the same marks, the SBI opts for any of the following aspects to choose the candidate:

  • The reserved category candidates including ST/SC/OBC are given the first preference while choosing the candidates for SBI results.
  • If the tie still can’t be resolved, the candidate who has given fewer wrong answers is given preference over the other candidates. 
  • Despite being the lowest chance, the tie-breaking policy also includes the preferring the older one. 

What After SBI Clerk Final Result Declaration?

After the final result declaration, the successful candidates are called for selection. They also need to pass the qualifying test. The after-process is elaborated on through the following points:

  • Marks from the prelims exam are not included in the selection process; only aggregate marks from the mains exam are considered for the final merit list.
  • Provisional selection is done after evaluating the performance in the Mains exam only. 
  • Final selection is contingent upon verifying the candidate’s eligibility for the post.
  • Qualifying in a test of the specified opted local language is mandatory.
  • A waitlist of up to 50% of vacancies (state-category-wise) is maintained.
