Concerns are being raised about NEET UG 2024 Results
Please take it in the sense that at this point, so many students have a ranking that it could be difficult for a lot of them to gain admission at the top medical institution, AIIMS Delhi. This is why, after those results from NEET were announced, there was an uproar about it.
A lot of parents and students are raising concerns about the results’ release on the 4th of June. They claim that the release was an attempt to cover up irregularities under the disguise of results from the election.
According to the data provided by NTA, 23 students scored scores of 720 out of 720 marks in this NEET UG 2024 exam. However, many students were awarded marks for a wrong answer to the Physics question, for which students who scored 720 marks needed to be qualified. The list of names was expanded to 44. in the survey.
Students Unexpectedly Scored Grace Marks.
We will now explain the reason for the incorrect answer. In this NEET UG 2024 examination, two of the answers to a question on the Physics exam were correct. As the debate over the issue grew, NTA announced that it would give 100% marks to students who had answered both correct answers.
However, the problem isn’t just about the wrong answer but also about the marks earned by students.
Many students have scored 719 or even 718 marks in the NEET UG exam. In the NEET examination, students are awarded 4 marks for each correct answer. For failing to answer the question, there are no marks awarded, and in case of a wrong answer, the student is penalized with one mark in negative marking.
In this scenario, when a student has answered all questions correctly, the student will be awarded the 720 marks of the 720 marks. In contrast, if a student is unable to answer an answer, he will be awarded 716 marks. However, when a student answers an incorrect answer, then the student will be awarded seventy-five marks, i.e., in no case will they receive the marks of 719 and 718 for an NEET exam.

In the end, How did you come up with the numbers 719 and 718?
Now, the question is who scored scores of 719/718, and what was the source? The reason for this debate about marks lies in a NEET exam centre located in Haryana, and the screen image of the marks received by the students has become famous on social media.
Of the 8 students who appeared for the test at this centre, 6 received 720 marks from 720. The remaining two students scored 719 marks and 718. In such a scenario many students are questioning the concept of grace marks within NTA.
In response to the concerns concerning grace points, NTA argues that due to various reasons, the questions were handed out to students who were late at a number of exam centres.
To make up for that delay, students who sat for the test at these centres were awarded grace marks according to the regulations, in that many students received seventeen and a half marks.
A Call for Swift Action by the Government
Expressing outrage over the leak of the paper, A parent, Ghanshyam Tiwari, stated that there are a lot of families across the country who have children who take part in the exam. The family would like their child to be an aspiring doctor.
However, when these irregularities come to light, it isn’t perfect. In such a case, the government or new government must be able to step in.
This is because the future of thousands of children is damaged, and children are prone to taking wrong actions. In this case, the government must be able to take a firm stance.
