• Spiritual Practices: Amavasya Day is believed to be the best one to observe spiritual practices and work on self-reflection. Many people observe fast and indulge themselves in prayers, meditation, charity, etc. All these practices help in spiritual growth. 
• Natural Phenomenon: Apart from the spiritual and astrological beliefs, Amavasya also symbolizes natural phenomena. We can’t see the moon’s illumination even though it’s present there on Amavasya night. This shows the cycle of renewal and the impermanent nature of life. 
• Astrological Significance: Amavasya tithi holds strong astrological significance. As the period is linked with the reduction phase of the moon, people believe it to be inauspicious for numerous positive ventures and decisions.
